We have wacky weather here on the Gulf Coast. Storms come out of pure blue skies without warning and disappear just as suddenly. Our family likes our storms, but today the “boom” was a bit too loud and scary for a little certain someone.
So we found another use for a few bedsheets, a pile of quilts, and our dining table.
A special blankie and a few stuffed animals help.
Plastic ponies, a bowl of chocolate chips, and a bottle of water help, too. Oh, and a treasure chest filled with pennies. That helps, too. You just never know when you might need pennies.
And a peeking big sister helps, too, as long as she closes the “door” the very minute she is done peeking.
Hmm, I really should start ironing our sheets, shouldn’t I? Does anyone really truly do that?
