It’s Memorial Day in America! That means grilling out and swimming in the river today. But more than that, it means we get to remember and appreciate the sacrifice made by so many American soldiers from the Revolutionary War to the present.
Thanks to the perspective of living half my childhood in a third world country, I don’t think a day goes by – certainly not two or three days go by – that I don’t remember how blessed I am, simply by being an American. I hope everyone feels that way about their country.
So, to the men and women out there, past and present, serving our country, including the thousands in my hometown and our nephew who graduated from the Navy’s submarine training program last week…
Because of you, I can worry over the little things in my life.
