Kids bored (already!) this Summer?
Oh, I have a few ideas!
1. Go to the Bay 2.Knit 3.Go to the Beach 4. Catch a Fish, 5. Catch a Shark, 6. Dance , 7. Hold your sister’s hand, 8. Camp, 9. Canoe, 10. Take a walk on a boardwalk, 11. Sew, 12. Leap, 13. Give the ducks a bath, 14. Paint trees, 15. Catch a chick, if you can, 16. Hold a baby snake, if you find one, 17. Kayak, 18. Canoe (again), 19. Swing, 20. Play in the garden hose, 21. Fill a bucket, 22. Pet the neighbor’s dog, 23. Make sand bombs, 24. Fight with the Army men
If all of that fails, there is still my favorite boredom-buster. If you’re a mama, you know what I’m going to say (and so do my kids, as they start backing away):
“Oh, goody! I have all sorts of very interesting things for you to do. Wash the car, vacuum the rug, sweep….”
…and before I finish that thought, the boredom has vanished along with the kids.
