I had all sorts of ideas and plans for launching 2011 into the Most Important Year Ever – or something just as significant - but our family was hit by such a horrid flu bug that it has had us down for weeks. Do you mind, World, if we declare today to be December 30, 2010 so that I can be part of New Year's Day and such, too? I'm a bit behind on Resolutions, the Year in Photos and so on.
As I write, I can hear our little gal coughing in her sleep. We're almost well, but we still have residual coughs that come at night to haunt my mommy heart until I can't sleep until my babies – the small & tall – are silent again.
While I'm waiting for the coughs to leave us, I'm thinking. And thinking. I feel like 2011 is the year of "truth," the year to think out loud, the year to be true and honest as well as just and pure and lovely.
I'm excited – and a little scared – to find out what it will mean to seek truth in 2011. Meanwhile, ::cough:: ::cough:: I need to get back to bed.
p.s. I hope you & yours are well!
