"But it isn't easy," said Pooh. "Because Poetry and Hums aren't things which you get,
they're things which get you. And all you can do is to go where they can find you."
I've been more than a little bit obsessed with Winnie the Pooh quotes lately. He's a self-proclaimed Bear of Little Brain, so I find his words simple enough for me.
I have an obsession with journals. It takes more willpower than I usually contain to pass a book rack of new journals, their blank pages calling me to partially fill them (no journal is completely filled, probably because I find another too soon to take its place).
Recently, I found a large journal, leather bound, lined, with a ribbon bookmark, that said, Buy me. You know you must.
And so I did as I must.
Somewhere between the store and the car, I remembered that when I was a teenager, I had a little red journal of quotes. Nowadays, it's easy enough to store quotes in an online electronic folder like Evernote or Dropbox, but then I don't use the quotes.
So my pretty black leathered, lined journal with the black ribbon is now my Journal of Quotes. It is where I am reminded that I love to handwrite, I love to discover inspirational words of wisdom, and I love to preserve and share them.
